Eddie Coulson has been the College Station Independent School District Superintendent since September 1, 2006. Prior to his selection as superintendent, Dr. Coulson worked in CSISD as the deputy superintendent for curriculum and instruction for five years and as the executive director for human resources for four years. Before his employment in CSISD, Dr. Coulson worked in the Spring Independent School District as an administrator and teacher for 12 years.

Over the years, Dr. Coulson has helped the College Station Community by serving on the boards for United Way, The Research Valley Partnership, The Chamber of Commerce, and The Brazos County Workforce Solutions. In addition, Dr. Coulson has served as a youth soccer and basketball coach, taught Sunday school and served on the leadership board for Grace Bible Church.

Dr. Coulson and his wife, Sally, have two children who have graduated from A&M Consolidated High School. Katie recently graduated with a degree in chemistry from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass and now attends law school at Columbia University.  Scott graduated from Colorado State University in May 2013 with a degree in biomedical science and is in his first year of med school at the Texas A&M Health Science Center.  Scott’s wife, Caroline, is a third grade teacher.

Dr. Coulson received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and his Master’s and Doctorate of Education from Sam Houston State University. His professional interests include leadership development, organizational health and change management.
