School Safety Upgrades
Project: Safety and Security Upgrades
Estimated Cost: $3,900,000
During the spring 2013 semester, the district administrative team met a number of times to discuss school safety. Additionally, the Long Range Planning Committee discussed safety and security issues related to CSISD. Based on the needs of each campus, money from the bond will allow the district to construct security vestibules at the five campuses that currently don’t have them, install proximity locks on each campus where appropriate, and install security cameras at each campus. The public address systems would also be upgraded to allow for better access in emergency situations as well as day-to-day activities.
