Substitute Opportunities

(revised 8-07-07)

College Station ISD is always looking for qualified substitute teachers. As CSISD grows, the need for substitute teachers also grows. In order to substitute for a teacher in CSISD, a four-year college degree is required, along with attendance at one Substitute Inservice. In order to substitute as a paraprofessional (e.g., teachers aide, secretary, clerk), a high school degree is required, and attendance at one Substitute Inservice is required.

College Station ISD utilizes an automated sub calling system called Aesop.  Aesop allows staff to register their own absences using a web site or an Interactive Voice Response phone system. Aesop then finds substitute teachers to fill each vacancy and allows substitutes to view and accept jobs online. Unfilled jobs trigger automatic phone calls to qualified substitutes.
