SUBJECT: Region VI Vendor List for 2008-2009 School Year
New lists of approved Instructional Supplies, Office Supplies and Furniture, Technology Supplies and Awards and Trophy vendors for the 2008-2009 school year have been posted on the CSISD Purchasing website. All contracts are effective July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. These vendors have participated in a bid solicited by the Education Service Center (ESC) Region VI as part of their Interlocal Purchasing Cooperative. Each vendor bid a discount from their catalog and delivery for the area and in specific product line, they offer.
Please note that some of the discounts have changed from last year. A new category Awards and Trophies has been added to the cooperative and Sam’s Club College Station and Tiger Direct have been added as vendors for 2008-2009. Contact information for each vendor is included as an attachment to this memo.
As a district, we should make every attempt to utilize this agreement and purchase from the list of vendors shown on the website if pricing, delivery is acceptable, and a local bid or agreement is not already in place. I encourage you to check prices with different Region VI vendors to assure best value for the district. The benefit behind participating in this cooperative is to take advantage of competitive prices and delivery that are available from the combined purchasing activities of the participating districts. This cooperative also complies with all State of Texas competitive procurement laws.
Use of this cooperative should not supersede any local bids or agreements established by the CSISD Purchasing Department. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
