Forest Ridge Elementary School was recently recognized by Solution Tree as a Promising Practices Professional Learning Community at Work® for its success in raising student achievement. The school’s commitment to implementing the PLC at Work process has been a major contributing factor in making a visible, positive impact on student learning.

Four community members have filed for candidacy in the 2026 College Station ISD Board of Trustees Election, set for Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The College Station ISD Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026 at 5 p.m. (workshop) and 7 p.m. (regular meeting) in the CSISD Boardroom located at 1812 Welsh Ave. The meetings will be broadcast live for public access on the the district's YouTube channel.

Representatives from Optimum visited South Knoll Elementary School on Aug. 18 to announce a new Adopt-A-School partnership with the campus and celebrate a generous donation of 15 iPads to support student learning.
