Due to the uncertainty of the spread of the COVID-19 virus during the 2020-2021 school year, CSISD has prepared two different models for teaching and learning. The work groups which developed these models were made up of campus administrators, the curriculum and instruction department, and other department administrators, with strong input and voice from our teachers via a teacher survey.
The two possible teaching and learning models for the 2020-2021 school year are:
- On-Site Learning / At-Home Learning (if necessary) - In the on-site learning model, students will attend class in the school building.
If schools or classrooms are forced to close due to spread of COVID-19, students in on-site learning would shift to at-home learning until they are able to return. If the need to shift from on-site to at-home learning should arise, it will mirror the virtual learning model.
- Virtual Learning - Parents who do not feel safe sending their children to school can opt to have them learn in a virtual environment.
PLEASE NOTE: The details in these documents are subject to change as directives are provided by governing authorities and/or health officials or as environmental conditions change.
