More CSISD students honored by the National Merit Scholarship Program
Twenty-four College Station ISD students received a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program.
A&M Consolidated seniors Taylor Beyer, Paige Blomstedt, Shelby Buenger, Zachary Carstens, Fatima Charara, Kitt Crabb, Alina Dattagupta, Sky Dominguez, Joon Eoh, Eric Gan, Marie Guermond, Duru Han, Macy Hicks, Lisa Hsiao, Johannes Kronenberg, David Lee, Kevin Li, Erica Nipps, Alec Paradowski, Debra Roussel, Casey Shomaker, Nicholas Smith, Scott Weaver and Amy Zhang are among 34,000 students received the commendation, nationwide.
Although they will not continue in the 2011 competition for National Merit Scholarships, these students are among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the Preliminary PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Last month, 11 additional CSISD students were named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists and will compete for the honor of being named a National Merit Scholar.
In the last three years, a total of 93 CSISD students have either been named a National Merit Semifinalist or received a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program.
