CSISD Teams compete at robotics competition

Teams from A&M Consolidated High School, A&M Consolidated Middle School and College Station Middle School all recently competed at the Southeast Texas Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology Robotics Competion in Huntsville, Texas.

The AMCHS Tiger Robotics team placed second in one of the two categories: the BEST Engineering category, while CSMS placed third.  AMCMS earned an honorable mention spirit award.

B.E.S.T.  stands for Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology. This program provides an opportunity for students to learn about and experience the engineering process, teamwork, problem solving, strategy, and public relations. The team is given six weeks to design, build and market their robot. To win the B.E.S.T. award. students must create a business marketing strategy, which includes an engineering notebook, an oral presentation, and a promotional booth that explains our robot from conception to competition.
