Fall Sports Update / Playoff Schedule

The fall sports at A&M Consolidated HS and College Station HS have performed well in district competition and are now preparing for post-season action.

AMCHS - After completing the regular season with a record of 36-7 and the runners-up in district 14-5A, the Lady Tigers will play Klein Collins in the first round of the playoffs.  The game is set for Tuesday, October 30, at 6:30 p.m. at Brenham High School.  Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for students.

CSHS - The Lady Cougars earned a share of the district 18-3A crown, but by virtue of Saturday’s win over Caldwell, earned a first-round bye in the state playoffs.  With a record of 26-12, CSHS will wait to see who they play in the area round, which will be held this Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

Cross Country

AMCHS - The AMCHS girls cross country team advanced to the 5A Region three meet with a third-place finish in the district 14-5A meet last week.  The boys team narrowly missed a berth with a fourth place finish.  All-American runner Karis Jochen outpaced the rest of the field in winning the individual district girls championship.  On the boys side, Gus Roman placed third in the individual standings to advance to the regional meet, which will be held at Vandergriff Park in Arlington (2800 S Center St. - Arlington, TX) on November 3.  The 5A girls race will begin at 8:45 a.m. and the 5A boys will start at 9:10 a.m.

CSHS - Both the boys and girls cross country teams from CSHS won the district 18-3A team championship.  Leading the way for the girls was Kelsey Warren, who won the individual title.  For the boys, Logan Meyers finished second in the individual competition.  The 3A Region III Cross Country Meet will be held November 3 at Atascocita High School (13300 Will Clayton Pkwy - Humble, TX).  The 3A girls race starts at 11:40 a.m. and the 3A boys begin at noon.
