CSISD art students advance to state

Lauren Brammer and Becky Nam from College Station HS and Marta Pate and Zach Griggs from A&M Consolidated HS each advanced a piece of art to state.

In all, 64 CSISD artists entered art in the Region 6 contest with 32 of those students winning a total of 44 medals in their respective division.  At the contest, there were students of 51 teachers from 35 different schools who participated. Many students had more than one entry.  In all, judges saw 781 entries and selected 50 pieces of art to represent Region 6 at the state competition.

The following students earned medals at the competition:

Level 1:  Bryson Bounds, Araujo Ester, Marissa Garcia, Catherine Haberl, Peyton McCutchen, Elizabeth Reed, Regan Schulman

Level 2:  Lauren Brammer (2 medals), Nora Ebert, Zach Griggs, Shani Hayes, Becky nam (2 medals), Shelby Lancaster (2 medals), Darcy Loupot,  Rachel Reckling (2 medals), Meredith Stromberg, Savannah Troy (2 medals), Anjali Yadav (2 medals)

Level 3:  Montana Caler (2 medals), Valerie Flores-Meath, Hannah Moore (2 medals), Cooper Savajda,

Level 4:  Seth Anderholm (2 medals), Chandler Bowersox (2 medals), Maddie Gaines (2 medals), Mary Inovejas (2 medals), Marta Pate (2 medals), Heidi Rockwell, Kensen Shi (2 medals), Zach Smith (2 medals), Brooke Strickland (2 medals), Christina Vaughn (2 medals)

CSISD art teachers involved in the contest include Brent Maxwell at CSHS, and Jami Bevans and Bob Leland and AMCHS.
