Two AMCHS debaters place in state top 10

Venkatraj placed sixth in Congressional Debate-House and Choi Placed seventh in Congressional Debate-Senate.

The duo competed against more than 120 other competitors in earning the top 10 finishes.

Congressional debate is a contest in which students debate legislation and mimic the United States Congress, speaking in three minute speeches in either affirmation or negation about the legislation.  Students also cross examine and debate other students within the event alongside passing or failing legislation.

The Texas Forensics Association is one the largest speech and debate organizations in Texas with over 200 schools in participation.  Schools from all UIL classifications compete against one another.
