The CSHS one-act play won the co-district 18-3A championship with its performance of the “The Miracle Worker.” By winning, CSHS will advance to the area competition on April 10.
For CSHS, Kailee Kema was selected as the district’s best actress and Peyton McCutchen earned the Outstanding Technician award. Kathleen Finch, Marcus Neely and Kayla Kurmaskie each received All-Star Cast honors, while Alexander Sanchez received honorable mention recognition.
The AMCHS one-act play earned the alternate spot to the area contest by finishing in third at the district competition. Jeremy Rees won Best Technician, Lynnsee Lewis and Matthew Price earned All-Star Cast honors, and Mary Ray, Allyn Jasperson and Tara Lokke were named honorable mention cast members.
AMCHS qualified for the district contest via its stellar performance at the zone competition. Jasmine Daniel won Best Technician, Elizabeth Mayer earned Best Actress, Lewis and Lokke won All-Star Cast honors, and Grace Manuel, Brianna McGillivray, Molly Leach, Danielle Scott and Keley Shuttlesworth received honorable mention distinctions.
