Beginning in January, and meeting once a month for two hours, the Leadership CSISD program will give an inside and in-depth look at the following topics:
School Finance: Learn how local taxes and decisions in Austin affect a public school’s budget.
Career and Technology Education: Explore how CSISD is helping prepare its students for life after high school with 22 different career pathway options.
Long-Range Planning and Growth: This session is designed to help you see what its like to dig through data and determine best options for expanding a growing school district.
Instructional Technology and Teaching Innovation: Discover what CSISD is doing to lead the way in innovation within our schools, our classrooms, and in offering options for our students.
Facilities Design and Construction: Get a first hand look at how a school is built - and why it is built the way it is built - with this on-site tour of the still-under-construction Spring Creek Elementary.
“We think this is a tremendous opportunity to engage our community,” Superintendent Dr. Clark Ealy said. “Not only will we provide information on varying topics, but we want participants to provide us feedback in order for CSISD to better serve the community.”
