Southwood Valley math students earn awards in national math contest

The goal of the competition is to encourage young students' interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math. During the contest, students are given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems.

Both teams were awarded a Team Achievement plaque for being one of the teams in the top 10% of the teams in the contest.
