CSISD FFA represents well at Area 3 convention, two advance to state

AMCHS student Dustin Moreau earned first place in the talent contest and will advance to the state contest held at the Texas FFA Convention.  He will have the opportunity to sing in front of approximately 12,000 FFA members from across the state.

Additionally, AMCHS student Kayla Hanson won the plant science division of the senior public speaking competition to advance to state.

Several other CSISD FFA members placed in the area public speaking contest:

  • Keelie Wendt, CSHS - 2nd place, Senior Prepared Public Speaking (Agricultural Business Division)

  • Dustin Moreau, AMCHS - 5th place, Senior Prepared Public Speaking (Natural Resources Division)

  • Alyssa Roach, CSHS - 5th place in Senior Prepared Public Speaking (Animal Science Division)

  • Anica Winn, AMCHS - 5th place in Junior Prepared Public Speaking

In addition to AMCHS students Kayle Hanson (reporter) and Katie Woodworth (secretary) serving as area 3 officers, 11 CSISD students served as voting delegates. Ian Tremblay, Anica Winn, Michaela Cheyne, Aaron Crum, and Haley Gray from AMCHS and Ashlyn Miller, Kaytlyn Livingston, Katie Dyer, Alyssa Roach, Keelie Wendt, and Lindsey Rogers represented their respective schools in this capacity.
