Duetz and Wilson each received a check for $25 for their third place finish in the fall session of the Stock Market Game, Houston division. They competed against more than a hundred other teams to invest $100,000 in an online game and try to earn more than the other teams. They increased the investment by more than $12,000 in just 10 weeks.
Taylor was honored for being the state winner for the fall Investwrite essay competition. He received a check for $50 for his ability to analyze the work he completed while participating in the Stock Market Game. Both the Stock Market Game and Investwrite are sponsored by SIFMA. The SIFMA Foundation is dedicated to providing financial education for young people of all backgrounds through innovative programs promoting financial independence and real-world learning.
