CSISD students elected to state and district SkillsUSA office

A&M Consolidated student Ross Romero was elected to be the Texas SkillsUSA Vice-President.

Four CSISD students were elected as officers for District 7:

  • District 7 President: Amanda Herrera (AMCHS)
  • District 7 Vice-President: Kelly Krenek (AMCHS)
  • District 7 Parliamentarian: Aggela Polymenis (CSHS)
  • District 7 Officer: Alexis Girourd (AMCHS)

These students will spend the next year planning state and district conferences while advocating for career and technology education.  They will travel to Louisville, Kentucky, in June to represent Texas and compete at the National SkillsUSA Student Leadership and Skills Conference and Competition.

In all, a total of eight students from CSISD participated in five days of leadership training and competitions at Canyon of the Eagles, just outside of Burnet, Texas. from June 7th through 11th, for five days of Leadership training and competition.

All students earned their Statesman Award and have earned the right to represent Texas at the Washington D.C. Leadership Institute held in September 2015.
