CSISD students win 10 state championships at SkillsUSA contest

The 19 students will advance to the National SkillsUSA Skills and Leadership Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, in June.


In addition, AMCHS students Alexis Girouard, Delphine Djomo, Taylor Saputra, Spencer Williamson, and Kelley Krenek earned Presidential Volunteer Service Award and will be recognized in Louisville.


The students participated in four days of leadership and hands-on skilled competitions with and against more than 8,500 attendees.


Djomo and Krenek were also elected to represent AMCHS as a SkillsUSA State Officer for the 2016-2017 school year.


SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers, high school students, and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations.
