Parkerson, who has been the school’s interim principal since January 1, will begin her new role as principal following formal Board of Trustee approval next week. She replaced replaced Mike Martindale, who was promoted to Deputy Superintendent for Business and Operations in December.
“We had several good applicants and interviews, but Tiffany stood out as being the best fit for CSHS at this time,” Ealy said. “Tiffany has a wide range of leadership experience in CSISD, especially at the high school level, and she is ready for the challenge that comes with being the principal of a large comprehensive high school.”
Parkerson was chosen from a list of applicants which included internal and external candidates.
Parkerson has been employed by CSISD since 2003, where she started as an English teacher at A&M Consolidated HS. Since then, she has served as an instructional coach, English department chair, and most recently, an assistant principal at College Station HS.
Parkerson earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Texas A&M in 2002 and her Masters of Education from Texas A&M in 2010.
