As you may have heard, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has created an online student portal for parents to access STAAR scores. Because this information can be accessed online, Texas districts will no longer mail a copy of the results. STAAR scores are now available in the state’s new student portal.
Parents must use the state-assigned unique access code to log into the student portal (https://www.texasassessment.com/) to view your child's STAAR scores and access additional resources.
There are three ways to access you child’s state assigned unique access code:
- If you have a previous year STAAR score report, the unique access code can be found at the bottom of the report.
- Use the “lookup access code” feature on the student portal for parents by entering your child's first name, PEIMS ID (Social Security Number) and date of birth. If you did not provide the district with your student’s social security number during registration, they were assigned a state identification number by the state. If you do not know your child’s state ID, please use option 3 below.
- If the first two options do not work for you, please call your child’s campus to request the unique access code.
If you are unable to access your child’s scores online, your child’s campus can provide a paper copy upon request. Please be aware elementary and intermediate campuses will be closed from June 26 to July 26.
Please call your child’s campus with questions regarding this information.
