A College Station native, Clinkscales graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 2001, before earning her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science from Texas A&M in 2006.
“Being honored as the Region 6 Secondary Teacher of the Year is a testament to CSISD,” Clinkscales said. “I started my first day of kindergarten and graduated from CSISD. I had amazing teachers that showed me what good teaching looks like and impacted me enough to want to go into the profession. When I returned to CSISD as a teacher, I experienced a powerful professional development opportunity for new teachers to the district. I was set up with amazing mentors who helped grow me from a baby teacher to someone who could help new teachers develop.”
Since 2009, Clinkscales has taught agriculture classes at AMCHS and CSHS, including Livestock Production, Equine Science, Leadership in Agriculture, Floral Design, Landscape Design, Horticulture Science and Food Technology & Safety.
Prior to her employment with College Station ISD, she was an agriculture science teacher at the Guthrie Center, M.B. Smiley High School and R.E. Kirby Middle School, all in Houston.
