The team will join a pair of other CSHS robotics teams (Quantum Robotics and The Dream Team) who advanced to the state competition by winning their respective events at a previous tournament in Austin.
Members of Team Atlas2 include Danil Abanov, Tamia Butler, Daniel Case, Yashasvi Gullapally, Michael Leimer, Jared Simmons, Jeremiah “Bo” Stoddart.
Additionally, Quantum Robotics earned the Judge's Award at the Montgomery contest, which is given to the team that shows great team communication, documentation, and design.
Presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, the VEX Robotics Competition features teams of students who are tasked with designing and building a robot to compete against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.
Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April.
