Advancing were the floral team, the nursery landscape team and the meats team.
The floral team placed fourth out of 66 teams to advance. Suzanna Borchgardt led the way by earning first place in the individual standings. Other team members include Jessica Blanchard, Catherine Wiggins, and Rylee Psencik.
The nursery landscape team took fifth place and was led by ninth-place high-point individual Emma Turner. Shelby Smith also placed in the top 20 individually at 18th and Seth Russell and Kyle Hudson round out the team.
All three members of the fifth-place meats team individually placed in the top 20. Meagan McMurray finished sixth, Cassie Brown placed 11th and Kaitlyn Kotrla came in at 14th.
In addition, the A&M Consolidated poultry and floral teams and the CSHS poultry and wildlife teams represented their campus at the competition but did not advance to state.
The state contest will be held April 27 and 28 at Sam Houston State University and Texas A&M University, respectively.
