A native of College Station and a graduate of A&M Consolidated High School, Grande has served the last two years as the assistant principal at Spring Creek Elementary.
The CSISD Board of Trustees is expected to approve the hire at the May board meeting and the appointment will be effective at the end of this current school year.
“Blaire is genuine and approachable,” Ealy said. “She has a great understanding of the needs of all learners and the ability to explain what that looks like to others. She has a passion and energy that the staff and parents will take to quickly. I am excited for her opportunity to lead Pebble Creek.”
Grande began her teaching career as an elementary special education teacher in Broward County, Florida. After three years she moved into the role of exceptional student specialist, where she oversaw 25 teachers and 350 students in special education or gifted and talented.
In 2012, she and her husband, Rocco, moved back to Texas where she became a special education teacher at South Knoll Elementary, before her current role as assistant principal at Spring Creek Elementary.
On March 9, the principal opening at Pebble Creek was announced along with three elementary principal changes within CSISD. Rock Prairie Elementary Principal Robyn Jones was named principal at the new River Bend Elementary, Creek View Principal Jeff Durand was named to replace Jones, and Pebble Creek Principal Annette Roraback was slated to replace Durand.
