Grimes is currently the principal at Huntsville High School, where he has served in that capacity for the last two school years. Grimes will begin his duties in CSISD at the completion of this school year.
“Justin is professional, engaging with students and parents, and has high expectations for those he works with,” Ealy said. “He will take charge at College View and will be a champion for the school and its students. He has the ability to have others buy-in to the vision he casts a vision and I am excited to see College View flourish under his leadership.”
A 1996 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School, Grimes served as an assistant principal at College Station High School from when it opened in 2012 to 2016.
He began his career as a social studies teacher and football and baseball coach in Bryan ISD before accepting the assistant principal job at CSHS.
Grimes earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2001 and a Masters of Education Administration from Sam Houston State University in 2008.
He and his wife Breana have two children: Gracie, who is a freshman at College Station High School, and Callie, who is in sixth grade at Pecan Trail Intermediate. Breana teaches fifth grade social studies at Pecan Trail.
