Request for public comment on federal grant applications 2025-2026

In accordance with federal regulations, an entity planning to submit a federal grant application must afford a reasonable opportunity for public comment on the application that is submitted to the Texas Education Agency for approval. The following are the federal grants College Station ISD submitted for approval for the 2025-2026 school year. College Station ISD welcomes public input regarding the application and use of the grants.  Input can be sent to grants@csisd.org. All comments must be received by College Station ISD by no later than 12:00 noon on December 4, 2025. Comments received by this deadline will be considered by College Station ISD before the grant application is submitted.

Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant Program

Expand agriculture education programs that foster experiential learning, personal consumption, and career preparation for students K-12. Funds would be used to establish gardens, greenhouses, orchards, chicken coop, goat dairy pens.

TAMU Work Based Learning Grant

$10,000

 To create authentic work experiences for high school students with disabilities in Texas. Our team works with selected high schools to implement Work-Based Learning programs on campus or in their communities. Through funding, training, and technical assistance, the project helps schools teach pre-employability skills and provide meaningful work experiences leading to paid employment.

$375,000 Implementation of a welding education and training program for high school students pursuing a vocational career. The welding training program will teach hands-on technical skills, safety protocols, and fundamental
knowledge needed for entry-level welding jobs by combining classroom learning with practical experience in different processes to make students ready for careers in manufacturing, construction, and fabrication.
