The mission of the Career and Technical Education program is to provide students with real-world opportunities to attain skills to meet the needs of a global workforce.
The mission will be accomplished through:
- Academic excellence as defined in the Every Student Succeeds Act;
- Quality career guidance and counseling;
- Partnerships that benefit students and schools;
- Rigorous academic and technical curricula supporting seamless career pathways;
- Professional development for educators to enhance teaching and learning;
- Ongoing quantitative and qualitative data evaluation of student performance; and
- Administrative leadership necessary for program effectiveness and compliance.
Each student shall master the basic skills and knowledge necessary for:
- Managing the dual roles of family member and wage earner
- Gaining entry-level employment in a high-skill, high-wage, high-demand job or continuing their education at the post-secondary level.

- College Station Independent School District offers Career and Technology Education programs in Agriculture Science, Health Science Technology, Family and Consumer Science, Business Management and Administration, Trade and Industrial Education, Arts, A/V and Communication, Architecture and Construction, Hospitality (Culinary), Human Services, Information Technology, Law and Public Safety, Marketing and Finance, and STEM. Admission to these programs is based on grade level and completion of identified prerequisites.
