Pre-Kindergarten

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) helps ensure that Texas children enter schools with the foundational knowledge and skills to be curious, confident, and successful learners. Through partnerships with families, community organizations, schools and local educational agencies (LEAs), and other government agencies, TEA supports effective and aligned early learning opportunities, policies, and programs.

Pre-K is a State Funded program that promotes the school readiness of eligible preschool children by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. CSISD Pre-K provides comprehensive services to eligible children who are four years of age by September 1st of the upcoming school year.

CSISD Pre-K offers developmentally appropriate Pre-K classrooms on our elementary school campuses. Our classes offer full-day programing following our elementary school start and ending times. Each classroom has a teacher and assistant as well as high quality indoor and outdoor learning environments that are developmentally appropriate for students. The entire Pre-K staff welcomes involvement in Pre-K classroom activities, field trips, and various parent engagement events.
