CSISD Aspiring Administrator Institute
The College Station ISD Aspiring Administrator Institute is for current CSISD Staff Members that are committed to develop their leadership skills in preparation for becoming an assistant principal or other non-principal administrative positions. The sessions are built around the CSISD Leadership Definition Competencies and are designed to grow them in anticipation of potential leadership level changes. In total, there are five day long sessions held over the course of the school year.
Upon completion of the program, participants will gain a wide variety of experiences from the following areas:

Identification of personal strengths and areas of growth as an education leader

Gain a broad overview and understanding of the job of an assistant principal / administrator

Complete a shadow experience and mock interview experience
-
Develop a network of campus administrators
-
Lead a campus professional development process or lead a campus initiative based off an identified area of campus need that aligns with an identified need of growth for the participant

As a part of the application process, potential participants must meet the following minimum requirements/expectations:

Participants must be a current CSISD Employee

Participants must have completed a minimum of 3 years classroom teaching experience

Certification qualifications:

Have or will have Texas Principal Certification by May of the conclusion of their cohort year

OR
-
Be enrolled in a Texas Principal Certification program with a projected completion date

Participants must be willing to seek an administrative position in CSISD when a desired position becomes available

Participants must complete the application, letter of interest, and have a supervisor recommendation
