Mann, the current principal at A&M Consolidated Middle School, replaces Kelly Kovacs who recently moved to another school district in the San Antonio area.

"We were looking for someone who has demonstrated instructional leadership, preferably as a campus principal," Ealy said. "Jeff has been an effective leader in this district at multiple levels, and he is constantly pushing his students, staff, administrative team and himself to be better and try new things. Jeff's fresh approach to leadership and professional development will serve the district well."

Fuentes, currently one of two assistant directors for special services, will replace Molley Perry who was recently promoted to Chief Administrative Officer for the district.

"We are fortunate to have a person on staff that has experience in other successful districts like Irving, Desoto, Waco Midway and Dallas," Ealy said. "In the past two years as assistant director, Lindsey has earned the respect of special education teachers and staff who find her to be a hard-working problem solver who always has the students' interests in mind."

The board is expected to approve the hires at its July 17 meeting, and the searches for Mann's and Fuente's replacements are on-going.

Mann has spent his entire career in College Station ISD, including the last three as principal at A&M Consolidated Middle School and the two previous years as principal of Oakwood Intermediate. Prior to serving as principal, he served two years as an assistant principal at A&M Consolidated High School and was a teacher and head athletic trainer at Consol since 2005.

He earned his Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from Angelo State University in 1999, his Master's of Science in Kinesiology from Angelo State in 2003, his Master's of Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 2011, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Administration from Texas A&M University.

Prior to serving as assistant director for special education at CSISD for the past two years, Fuentes spent four years as Special Education Coordinator at Irving ISD and five years as an educational diagnostician at Desoto ISD and Dallas ISD. Before entering administration, she was an elementary teacher in Dallas ISD and Midway ISD.

Fuentes earned her Bachelor's of Science in Education from Baylor University in 2001, her Master's of Science in Special Education from Texas A&M-Commerce in 2007, and her Master's of Educational Administration from the University of North Texas in 2010.
