About Karen

Vice President, Marketing, StataCorp LLC

My family and I have called College Station home for over 20 years, and College Station ISD has been an important part of our lives. I have two daughters who graduated from CSISD, and my son is currently enrolled in middle school. Having the three of them grow up in CSISD schools has given me the opportunity to experience our district through the eyes of a parent at different campuses, grade levels, and stages of education.

My connection to CSISD, however, extends far beyond being a parent. I have been actively involved in our schools and district—serving in PTO roles ranging from committee chairs to volunteer, participating on district advisory committees, and consistently looking for ways to support our teachers, students, and families.

Through those experiences, I have built relationships with educators, administrators, parents, and community members and have gained a meaningful understanding of both the incredible things happening in our schools and the challenges our families and educators sometimes face.

CSISD is deeply personal to me. My late husband graduated from A&M Consolidated. This is the community where I have raised my family, where my children have learned and grown, and where I have invested my time and energy for many years. I care deeply about its future and want to continue serving this community by helping ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed, every educator feels valued and supported, and every family knows their voice matters.
