The CSISD Emergent Bilingual Family Advisory Committee is made up of volunteers who serve a two-year term and represent a broad cross-section of the district, including parents, staff, and community members.
District facilitators will engage in the following recruiting efforts to fill the committee:
- Interest of LPAC parents
- Survey parents
- Parent Informational Meeting
Parents
Parent members must have a child who is an Emergent Bilingual (EB) student or be a non-EB parent participating in the two-way dual language program. The committee includes up to 20 parent representatives, selected based on enrollment and representing each grade band and campus level (elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school). Dual language campuses will include both EB (6) and non-EB (4) parents. Additional representation includes:
Parent members may represent multiple grade bands and can also serve on the LPAC (Language Proficiency Assessment Committee).

Staff volunteers also represent each grade band and campus level, with up to 16 members total. This includes:
