Intermediate & Middle School Boundary Adjustments

CSISD is proposing adjustments to intermediate and middle school attendance boundaries to go into effect for the 2026-2027 school year.

The proposed boundary adjustments are being made to help balance enrollment and the proportion of economically disadvantaged students, in accordance with CSISD Board Policy FC (Local):

For intermediate and middle schools, if there is a difference in the current proportion of economically disadvantaged students among the campuses on the same level that is equal to or greater than 15 percentage points, then such schools shall not be considered to have comparable composition.

For intermediate and middle schools, if there is a difference in the proportion of economically disadvantaged students among campuses on the same level that is between ten and 15 percentage points, then the administration shall make recommendations to the Board about the actions to be taken, if any, to address issues created by such difference and to prevent the difference from increasing to the level that would be considered to cause a lack of comparable composition.

Review Plans & Provide Input

The district is currently seeking input from the community on the proposed plans through the month of July. Community members may provide open-ended input on any of the plans proposed by completing the input forms below. Follow-up input may be available following school board meetings or after making updates to plans.

Plan 3 Explanatory Notes

Plan 3 extends the CG/CSMS attendance zone south of William D. Fitch Parkway. The specific zone being proposed is Southeast of Barron Road along Phillips Parkway to Green Prairie Road and then proceeds Northeast to the Forest Ridge Elementary campus location.

Community areas included in the proposed zone include the Barron Crossing Community and the Castlegate. Developments within Castlegate that are in the proposed zone change include Windsor, Kensington, Pembroke, Wentworth, Birmingham, and The Gardens.

Plan 4 includes adjustments from Plan 3 and additional adjustments to the intermediate/middle school zones:

CG/CSMS zone expanded southwest to Holleman Drive from Capstone Drive to Abbate Road. The proposed zone extends past Holleman Drive in a smaller area along Rock Prairie Road into the Mission Rance development area until Deacon Drive. Community areas included in this adjustment include Mission Ranch, Rolling Ridge Park, Oak Creek Park, Pershing Pointe Villas, and the Revelry Townhome community area.
CG/CSMS zone extended to areas Southeast of Highway 6 to the Deer Park Drive property area. Communities in this area include Pelican’s Point Cove, Kensal Point, and Cove of Nantucket that are proposed to go from Pecan Trail Intermediate and Wellborn Middle School to Cypress Grove Intermediate and College Station Middle School.
The northwestern section of the existing CG/CSMS zone is being proposed to be moved to PT/WMS zone. This area is south of Southwest Parkway and east of Yellowhouse Road and extends to the area that covers the Steeple Chase community and Aggie Manor Apartment area.
