Each year, CSISD schools select a teacher, paraprofessional, professional, auxiliary, and administrative employee to represent their campus as an Employee of the Year. These employees exemplify the vision and mission of their school and are recognized for their hard work and dedication. Campus Employees of the Year are nominated for the District Employee of the Year Awards and submit an application and letters of recommendation for consideration. CSISD's Teacher Advisory Council - made up of the previous year's Employees of the Year - review the applications and letters of recommendation to select districtwide award winners for each category.

In addition to Employee Award recognitions, retirees are honored for their service to the district and public education.
