Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I know if I am enrolling a new or returning student?
A: A new student to College Station ISD is a student who did not complete the prior year in a College Station ISD school. A returning student is a student currently enrolled and returning to the same campus next year or moving from one campus to another within the district.

Q: What is a snapcode?
A: A snapcode is like a key to your child's data for the upcoming school year and how you will complete the online enrollment process. You should receive a unique snapcode for each returning student by email. Make sure you enter it exactly as it appears in the email, with no spaces or punctuation, into the PowerSchool Registration link as directed.

Q: What if I have more than one student in the district enrolling? Do I need to complete a separate form for each child?
A: Yes, because you'll need to provide information that is specific for each child. We recommend that you complete and submit one form and then start another – this will allow you to snap (or share) selected family information, which saves you time.

Q: What if I have a student new to CSISD? Will I still need a snapcode?
A: No, students new to CSISD do not need snapcodes. Families of new students can register directly through PowerSchool Registration at the link listed.

Q: I have a student returning to CSISD but never received a snapcode by email. What can I do?
A: Snapcodes will be emailed out to families of returning CSISD students on to the email account listed for the primary parent/guardian at the child's school. Check your spam folder if you have not received it yet. Typically if you have not received the email within 48 hours, you will need to contact the campus to retrieve your snapcode as there may be an error with your email address on file. Snapcodes will only be sent to a parent/guardian and only to the email address we have on file for them.

Q: Once I have completed the registration process through PowerSchool Registration, am I finished enrolling my child?
A: If your child is NEW to the district you will need to provide the documents listed at the conclusion of the online registration process to the school they will be attending.

Q: I received the PowerSchool Registration email and snapcode but some of my information is wrong. Should I still complete the form?
A: Yes, we recommend that you complete the PowerSchool registration form and enroll your student for the upcoming school year. Changes to address, phone numbers or email accounts can only be made at the campus level and can be done in person once you complete the registration process. Any changes to the actual campus (for special programs, approved transfers, etc.) or grade level will be handled by campus staff as well.

Q: What if I haven’t received my snapcode?
A: Check SPAM mail or check to see if the e-mail is stacked with another e-mail.

Q: What if I received one snapcode for one of my child but not the other?
A: Check to see if the e-mail is stacked with your other student’s e-mail.

Q: I'm having trouble understanding some of the questions on the form and am unsure if I'm doing something right. Can I get help?

A: Yes, for specific help with the form, please email your question directly [email protected].

Q: Do I have to answer all the questions?

A: Questions marked with a red asterisk (*) are required.

Q: I'm having technical difficulties and can't get InfoSnap to load properly or read correctly. Can I get help?
A: Yes, you can contact the PowerSchool support.
