Nov. 10, 2023—Eight College Station ISD instructional paraprofessionals were honored by the Rotary Club of College Station by receiving the annual Very Impressive Vocational Achievement (VIVA) award on Nov. 9.

The Rotary Club’s annual VIVA awards are presented to employees of a Brazos County business or organization that have demonstrated outstanding performance in their jobs and community activities. Recipients were nominated by campus administrators then selected by The Rotary Club to be recognized as 2023 VIVA awardees.

The following CSISD staff members were recognized at College Station City Hall with a commemorative plaque and a $500 cash award:

  • Lindsay Burdett, Pebble Creek Elementary School
  • Ailenn Cantero, College Station High School
  • Renee Clouston, Pecan Trail Intermediate School
  • Elizabeth Cunha, A&M Consolidated High School
  • Javon Dennis, Oakwood Intermediate School
  • Amy Frevele, A&M Consolidated Middle School
  • Patricia Hadnot, Cypress Grove Intermediate School
  • Eunice Olvera, Southwood Valley Elementary School

“CSISD’s core beliefs of developing productive citizens, demonstrating mutual respect for all, and promoting community engagement align with Rotary’s motto of service above self and Rotary’s Four-Way Test of things Rotarians think, say and do,” said Molley Perry, CSISD deputy superintendent and chief administrative officer.
