March 28, 2024The CSISD Board of Trustees approved Heather Wilson as the district’s new Chief Financial Officer during its special workshop meeting on March 28. Wilson replaces Amy Drozd, who is retiring this spring.

Wilson spent the last 17 years with Canyon ISD, where she served as the assistant superintendent of business and operations. While at CISD, Wilson was in charge of budget and compliance, assisted in the development and passage of the 2018 Bond Program, served as the project manager for a new high school, an intermediate school, two new elementary schools, and multiple campus renovations, including adding additional square footage to an existing high school. In addition, she led the transportation, food services, maintenance, property services, technology and finance departments.

Wilson earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a registered Texas School Business Administrator through the Texas Association of School Officials (TASBO). She currently serves as president-elect for the TASBO Board of Directors, president for the Property Casualty Alliances of Texas (PCAT) and vice-chair for Workers Compensation Solutions (WCS).

“I feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve the students, staff and community of College Station ISD,” said Wilson. “Through the strong leadership of Dr. Harkrider and the College Station ISD family, I believe we can continue to make fiscally sound decisions managing the taxpayer dollars responsibly. I look forward to this new challenge and working to make an impact in the future of our students and community.”
