–Seventeen athletes from A&M Consolidated High School qualified for the UIL Swimming and Diving Championships following the Region VI-5A Championships, held Feb. 9-10 at the Texas A&M Student Recreation Natatorium. The Tiger girls claimed the regional title with 336 points and the boys placed second with 269 points.

 The first- and second-place finishers in each region and next eight swimmers with the best regional finish times in the state advance to the UIL Swimming and Diving Championships, to be held Feb. 23-24 at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin. In diving, the top three finishers in each of the eight regions advance to state.

 The following girls will represent CSISD at state:

  • Freshman Brooklyn Poole,
    • 200-yard individual medley (2:08.11); and
    • 100-yard breaststroke (1:06.28).
  • Junior Katherine Rasmussen
    • 200-yard individual medley (2:12.20); and
    • 100-yard backstroke (57.61).
  • Freshman Ariana Larsen
    • 100-yard butterfly (57.81); and
    • 100-yard backstroke (58.65).
  • Junior  Eve Nelson, 1-meter dive (470.05);
  • Senior Sam Poole, 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.60);
  • Junior Annie Dent, 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.15);
  • 200-yard freestyle relay – Sam PooleSammy ShankarAriana LarsenKatherine Rasmussen (1:40.74);
  • 200-yard medley relay – Katherine Rasmussen, Sam Poole, Sammy Shankar, Mackenzie O’Donnell, and alternate Ella Coker (1:48.31); and
  • 400-yard freestyle relay – Sam Poole, Mackenzie O’Donnell, Ariana Larsen, Brooklyn Pooleand alternate  Ella Coker (3:40.45).

The following boys will represent CSISD at state:

  • Senior Ian Lindberg,
    • 100-yard backstroke (53.17); and
    • 200-yard freestyle (1:43.76).
  • Sophomore Neal Pang
    • 200-yard individual medley (1:58.41); and
    • 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.01).
  • Freshman Kolby Martin,
    • 100-yard breaststroke (58.78); and
    • 100-yard butterfly (51.26).
  • Freshman Edward Yang, 200-yard individual medley (2:00.28);
  • Sophomore Jaden Kwok, 100-yard butterfly (52.88);
  • 200-yard freestyle relay – Neal Pang, Garett GammillWill Peacock, Ian Lindberg and Tyler Lingo (1:30.61); and
  • 400-yard freestyle relay – Jaden Kwok, Neal Pang, Kolby Martin, Ian Lindberg (3:15.82).
