Oct. 17, 2023–The College Station ISD Board of Trustees approved Sara Goolsby as the new chief of staff and school leadership at its regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 17.
Goolsby has 20 years of experience in education, 15 of which have been in administrative roles. Her career began in Magnolia ISD, where she served as an athletic trainer. She then moved to Anderson-Shiro CISD and served as assistant principal, then principal at Anderson-Shiro Junior-Senior High School. Goolsby was named superintendent of schools for Anderson-Shiro CISD in 2014 and served in the role for two years.
Goolsby comes to CSISD from Willis ISD where she has served as dean of instruction, director of learner pathways, executive director of secondary education, and currently as assistant superintendent of innovation.
“I am thrilled and honored to have this opportunity,” said Goolsby. “I look forward to serving the CSISD community.”
