College Station ISD Superintendent of Schools Mike Martindale will recommend the hire of Justin Grimes as Principal of College Station High School to the Board of Trustees at its Tuesday, December 15 meeting.

Grimes is currently the principal at College View High School, where he has served in that capacity for the last two and a half years.  Grimes will begin his new role in January upon return from the winter break.

He is replacing Tiffany Parkerson, who was recently named CSISD Executive Director of Secondary Education.

“Justin is a proven leader at the high school level,” Martindale said. “He has history at College Station High School, was an integral part of developing the climate and culture of the school when it first opened, and was a big contributor to its early success.”

A 1996 graduate of A&M Consolidated High School, Grimes served as an assistant principal at College Station High School from when it opened in 2012 to 2016.

Prior to his principalship at CVHS, Grimes served two years in the same role at Huntsville High School.

He began his career as a social studies teacher and football and baseball coach in Bryan ISD before accepting the assistant principal job at CSHS.

Grimes earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in 2001 and a Masters of Education Administration from Sam Houston State University in 2008.

He and his wife Breana have two children: Gracie, who is a senior, and Callie, who is a freshman at CSHS.  Breana teaches fifth grade social studies at Pecan Trail.

The search for a principal to replace Grimes at College View will take place in the spring.
